Our Neighbourhood

North Adelaide is only 2.5 kms from the Adelaide city centre and offers a great balance of culture, history and plenty of places to eat and drink. You might be surprised to notice there’s a cafe, pub or a church on almost every street corner in this quiet, leafy suburb.

Our personal favourites are:


Wind your way through the wide tree lined streets of North Adelaide down toward the city via King William Street. On your way you will pass St Peter’s Cathedral, arguably Adelaide’s most picturesque church, and Montefiore Hill, with lovely views over Adelaide. Keep going and you will find the historic Adelaide Oval. Take a tour of the Oval which is widely regarded as one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the world. This historic icon of Australian culture is a leisurely stroll from all of the Majestic apartments and hotels in Adelaide.

A delight for the young and young-at-heart, the Adelaide Zoo is a perfect chance to get close to some of Australia's most famous and unique wildlife. Visit the children’s zoo to have a hands-on experience with kangaroos, koalas and much more. Not to be missed are the two resident Giant Pandas. You can walk to the Zoo from your hotel or take a free connector bus.

Getting around

The Adelaide City Council provide a free connector bus service 7 days a week that loops between North Terrace in the city and up to O'Connell Street and Melbourne Street in North Adelaide, and stops at extensive points along the loop.
